Dear Families,
I hope you're all enjoying the windy and sunny weekend in a variety of ways. Here are just a few reminders for the week ahead: We will have our last day of CAASPP testing on Monday (Tuesday if needed) in science. 5th and 8th graders take the science portion of the test every year. Please have your child get a good sleep and healthy breakfast before the test (as you do for most school days) to give them the best chance of doing their best. Students will finish their summative work for the book Flush which will be due on Monday. We'll continue learning about volume and capacity in math and compare cubic centimeters and millimeters through building structures and pouring liquids and working out application word problems. As we dig deeper into the events the led to the conflicts in the American Revolution, students will be doing some Reader's Theater reading, reading articles and watching short videos to help them understand this critical piece of American history. I wish you all a great week ahead. Ms. Welsh
